    Full description
    Enjoy a 1-hour walk through Frankfurt at night with a robed hangman as your guide. Follow your scary guide (if you dare) on a journey of discovery of Frankfurt's history and his bloody work. But while you listen to your guide, be aware, for he must finish his work and he has no time to waste because the devil is after him.  Start your journey into the past at the cathedral, where German kings and emperors were elected and crowned. Continue towards the bank of the Main where many culprits, mostly women, were drowned in the water. Finally, reach your final stop, the Römer, Frankfurt's famous Town Hall, where you will learn all about the Römerberg's gruesome past as the location of many medieval death penalty punishments and torture chambers.

    My wife and I got a one on one tour... the hangman was awesome! Super (sympathetic) creepy and it was a lot of fun, we learned things about Frankfurt and being an executioner that you had never heard before, with a lot of luck we survived the evening... Curious? I can recommend it!

    The executioner is really grandiose, the show informative and very entertaining. The executioner's voice and physical appearance are just perfect. The acting talent unique! Too bad it was still so bright (8:30 p.m.). So it's best to book as late as possible, that increases the scary effect even more. Definitely 5 stars from us. Must have participated!!!

    When we arrived, the "hangman" had long been there and was smoking with the other participants ... this took away some of the mystique. The acting talent of our executioner was outstanding, he was able to switch to a completely different role within seconds and credibly tell about the time. It's just a shame that the hangman's mask was only worn briefly in between and that he looked very "bourgeois" the rest of the time. Still, this tour is a very fun pastime if you're not expecting a costumed spectacle. I would recommend it!
