Full description

This 5 hour tour departs from your Hervey Bay accommodation. You will depart the marina, and travel to Fraser Island, across beautiful blue, clear water. Look out for Australian wildlife including dolphins, turtles and whales on the way. A sumptuous morning tea will be served on the journey over. You will then arrive at Fraser Island's western beach and/or Pelican Banks, depending on the season and weather. Beaches on the western side of Fraser Island are far more remote and untouched. Pelican Bank is a sandbank on the Great Sandy Strait which is utter perfection due to the clear water. Swim, kayak, fish, walk, play and explore this beautiful location. An Aussie BBQ lunch will be provided as you cruise back from Fraser Island. This includes locally-sourced ingredients such as quality rib fillet steaks, gourmet sausages, fresh Hervey Bay prawns, 3 delicious and nutritious salads, and bread. Cold drinks will be available for purchase at the licensed affordable bar.

Such a great experience, you can do your own thing they don't expect you to all participate in group activities but you are provided all equipment to do so if you wish. Kayaking, snorkelling, cricket and tubing was available with plenty for everyone. Brilliant BBQ afterwards was the perfect way to end the trip. Highly highly recommended. Thank you to the staff, you made us feel welcome

This cruise was great. We spent just a good amount of time on the island and the water was beautiful. There is some shade from the trees but staff also set up beach umbrellas which I highly appreciated. The tube ride was a lot of fun! We also got to jump off the top of the boat to swim to the island (or of course could choose to be taken over on the smaller boat if you wish) which was cool. The bbq was yummy and filled me up.

Overall an excellent day. The young man on the beach was particularly helpful and patient with clients. One prawn does not equate to the advertised “Harvey Bay king prawns”. Of particular concern was listening on two occasions to the senior female staff member berating staff in front of guests! This should just never happen, and may be a sign that she has been in the position too long. Once again an excellent day, but could have been perfect so easily.
