Learn about the Freiburg Bächle, a medieval irrigation and drainage system and the workplace of Alain, the real “Bächle" cleaner, who is affectionately called “Stocky” by the Freiburg habitants.

    Listen to Stocky's tales of the many watercourses from the Middle Ages that run through the historic center of the Black Forest metropolis. The small canals are called “Bächle” in the Alemannic dialect.

    Starke Führung, Wir haben schon einige Führungen in Freiburg gemacht, aber das war schon was besonderes. Der Bächleführer und "Läufer" Alain "Stocky" zeigte eindrucksvoll, wie das Bächlesystem in Freiburg funktioniert. Überaschend wurde auf dem Weg auch 2 "Kurze" getrunken. Insgesamt zwei sehr launige Stunden. Absolut empfehlenswert.

    Gut, witzig und interessant. Evtl. könnte es kürzer gehen, da doch etwas Leerlauf dabei war. Was auch cool wäre, wäre etwas zum zeigen (z.B. Bächleaufteilung und Verlauf in einer Übersicht). Stocky ist aber ein cooler Typ und ein absolutes Original. Erlebenswert. Witziger Einblick in die tägliche Arbeit der Bächleputzer.

    Sehr ausführlicher und interessanter Bächle-Rundgang. Auch wenn es sehr heiß war und durch die Trockenheit die Bächle kein Wasser führen. Das hat unserer Führung aber keinen Abbruch getan und meine Frau und ich hatten einen sehr unterhaltsamen Rundgang mit einem sehr guten Führer.
