Full description

Experience the unspoiled natural beauty and rugged landscapes of Connemara and explore iconic landmarks on your own, such as the rivers and lakes that flow off the 12 Bens mountain range. Stop in the charming mountain village of Leenane and take in the views of Ireland's only fjord at Killary. Then, get 2 hours to explore Kylemore Abbey and go for a nature walk in the Victorian Walled Gardens. Continue along the coast to the pretty Gaelic-speaking village of An Spideal to take a stroll amongst the many traditional thatched roof homes and admire the beautiful beaches.

We had the amazing surprise to have the guide all for ourselves as we were the only ones to have booked the tour for that day. The tour itself was stunning and the guide Michael was great, he told us very interesting and detailed facts and stories about the region but also allowed us to take some time to admire the scenery in silence: the perfect balance! We also liked that he made many stops along the way and that we had 2 and a half hours at Kylemore Abbey, the main stop. Overall excellent, definitely recommend!

The driver and guide was really good. Very polite. I learned alot about the Kylemore Abbey and about Connemara. The guide was also kind enough to stop alot for the passengers to take great pictures. I highly recommend Lally Tours. I added this tour at the last minute and I am glad I did.

The tour was great and fit in a lot of photo stops. The Connemara region is absolutely gorgeous! The time spent at Kylemore Abbey felt short and rushed, however, considering it takes a bit of time to navigate between the walled gardens (via shuttle) and the walk between the Abbey and Franciscan Church. All are worthwhile to visit, but plan accordingly to allow enough time for each, and for lunch and perusing the gift shop, if that interests you.
