Full description
Take a horse-drawn carriage tour of the South Central Battlefield of Gettysburg, and explore the site where the soldiers of the Union and Confederacy engaged in one of the greatest battles of the American Civil War at the beginning of July 1863. During the tour, feel the story of this epic 3-day battle unfold before your eyes. Journey along some of the most heavily traveled areas from the battle's second and third days, and appreciate how the topography of this now-peaceful farmland influenced the battle. Hear the story of the battle play out in a surround sound narrative, produced in a studio with musical interludes and cannon fire sound effects by a licensed battlefield guide. Enjoy an exciting narrative that will keep even the kids engaged. On top of learning about history, soak up plenty of panoramic views of the battlefield as you drive through the Peach Orchard and past the Pennsylvania Memorial, as well as view the National Cemetery from afar.

Paul was an excellent speaker, humorous with seriousness when appropriate, knowledgeable and timed the talk with the walk very well. Our horses and drivers were also very good.
