Get introduced to the fun and thrilling sport of canyoning in the famous wine country of the Gibbston Valley. Your half day tour starts with a 30-minute van transfer from Queenstown out to Gibbston Valley. Your professional and qualified guide will kit you out with all the best equipment so you can immerse yourself in the sport of canyoning whilst enjoying the beauty of your natural surroundings. Benefit from a full safety briefing and demonstration on all the elements of canyoning before heading out for your adventure. You'll take a 10-minute walk to the canyon start point. Before you know it, you'll be off down the canyon, sliding natural watersides, trying your hand at abseiling down waterfalls and having the most awesome summer experience ever. Time spent in the canyon varies from 1-2 hrs depending on the groups size and ability. This canyon is great for the first-time canyoner as well as lots of fun for the experienced adventure seeker! After the tour you will take a 10-minute walk back to the vehicles/changing rooms to get changed and transfer back to Queenstown. To finish, if you take the 9am tour you will receive a lunch voucher to deem at 1 of 3 Queenstown restaurants upon your return to Queenstown. Alternatively, choose the 2024 Trek Marlin 6 pedal bikes for a classic cycling experience. Your adventure starts with a scenic shuttle to Arrowtown, rich in gold mining history. Enjoy a 2-3 hour ride along the Twin Rivers Trail, crossing bridges and rivers, leading into the Valley of the Vines. Brunch at AB Bakeries offers a delightful start, while Mount Rosa and Kinross wineries provide exquisite wine tasting experiences. Embark on an afternoon tour to experience the true flavor of the local Pinot Noir and other wine varietals at three premium vineyards. This relaxing tour travels just a short distance from Queenstown to give you in-depth wine tastings and a presentation at each vineyard. The wineries we choose give you a great perspective of the types of wine we produce in the region. We make time on the tour or you to unwind and have a winery lunch at your own cost. A perfect tour for connoisseurs and beginners alike, come taste the best wines New Zealand has to offer!  

Your wine guide will collect you near your Queenstown accommodation around 10am in a premium Mercedes vehicle, before traveling 30 minutes out to the spectacular Gibbston wine region. Throughout the day you will visit four tasting locations, tasting over 18 local wines. Our first location includes a tour and tasting at New Zealand’s famous Gibbston Valley underground wine cave. Here you will visit the vines before exploring their incredible wine cave and tasting their world-famous wines. From here we move on to Kinross, a fantastic tasting location that showcases wines from five different wine-makers, their cellar-door hosts will entertain and educate you on the wide history of the region. It is at Kinross where we allow time for lunch, and you can order off their varied delicious menu (lunch is paid for separately on the day). After lunch, visit the beautiful tasting room at Mt Rosa Wines. Mt Rosa is an owner-operator cellar door, with single-label wines that are unique and hard to source around NZ and the world. The fourth location is The Church Tasting Room, a picturesque location, in a small refurbished church sitting on large sweeping grounds and the tasting room for Mt Edward Wines. At the end of the tour you can be dropped back near your accommodation around 4pm, or choose to go into Queenstown to enjoy your afternoon/evening. Travel in style with transfers in a premium Mercedes van, enjoy learning how to taste wine through onboard videos and make use of our complimentary WiFi and Spotify playlists.

After a scenic 25-minute shuttle from Queenstown, arrive in historic Arrowtown where our driver will provide you with an extensive briefing covering trail navigation and bike safety. Benefit from a detailed trail map to assist you on your journey before heading off on your cycling adventure. Enjoy passing through this historic gold-mining town before biking your way down the beautiful Arrow River Bridges Trail. Ride over the historic Kawarau Bungy Bridge and admire charming countryside views before finishing off at Gibbston Valley Winery. Relax and refresh briefly at the winery before being shuttled back to Queenstown.

On this "Ride to the Vines" tour, you will cycle on a powerful e-bike (pedal-assisted) that gives you an opportunity to ride faster and further. Thanks to the help of the bike, you will be able to spend most of your energy spotting interesting places and enjoying the local scenery along the way.  First, you will visit the historic gold mining village of Arrowtown, and ride along the Arrow and Kawarau rivers. Crossing suspension bridges you will also visit the oldest bungy jumping bridge. Then the Gibbston Valley will welcome you with views of extensive vineyards as far as the eye can see.  In the end of the ride you will visit 2 boutique family owned wineries, where you will learn about the secrets of vine growing and wine making.
