On this 4-hour Gibraltar package, begin on a dolphin cruise onboard a yellow catamaran. You will have a personal multi-media guide as well, included in your ticket price. Expert guides provide live commentary and a marine biologist describes everything that you’ll encounter. Learn about dolphins and we can protect these special creatures. They are sighted on 99 percent of the tours. At times, you can see pods of 40 to 500 dolphins. Watch common, striped, and bottlenose dolphins swim up to the boat and play. They sometimes put on a spectacular display of leaps directly at your feet. Tours depart 4 times each afternoon from Marina Bay, where you can relax and soak up the Mediterranean atmosphere both before and after your trip. Each tour takes in breathtaking views of both the African and European coastline and the legendary Pillars of Hercules. A pack of wild apes, the famous Barbary macaques, will give you an entertaining acrobatics performance. Hide all plastic bags to avoid robbery and keep a friendly distance, especially if the young ones are around. Relax with a beverage and light snack while enjoying the spectacular vistas. The Top of the Rock Souvenir Shop is also packed with unique gifts unavailable in town. From the terraces of the top station, gaze over the town below, look north towards the Sierra Nevada over the Costa del Sol and east over the blue Mediterranean Sea, and take in the views south across the Strait of Gibraltar to the Rif Mountains of North Africa. You’ll have views of 2 continents, 3 countries, and the meeting point of 2 great bodies of water! You'll be able to appreciate why so many wished to conquer this small isthmus and why it played such an important part in world history.

This day-trip from Seville provides you with an opportunity to spot a variety of beautiful animals. Sailing for about 2 hours in the waters of the straits, look out for numerous species of dolphins in the wild, in a respectful manner. Bay of Gibraltar: 1.5-Hour Dolphin Cruise

4. Bay of Gibraltar: 1.5-Hour Dolphin Cruise

Cruise into the enchanting world of dolphins on this 1.5-hour adventure in the Bay of Gibraltar. Gibraltar is famous for its ever-present dolphin population, with transient dolphins visiting the bay for food, shelter, and to breed in their hundreds. This 1.5-hour cruise provides the best way to see Gibraltar's dolphins, wild and free. The boat's captain and crew know the dolphins' favorite playgrounds, and can often locate pods as large as 200 or more. Move around freely aboard the boat to enjoy complete 360° views of the dolphins as they swim, leap, surf on the bow wave, and perform natural acrobatics. The dolphins will be close enough that you will hear their splashing, breathing, and even the sound of their sonar whistling as they communicate with one another. The Bay of Gibraltar is also a favorite place for nursery schools of dolphins, and it is very common to see baby dolphins rising to the surface alongside their mother as they come up to breathe. You may even see whales, turtles, and sunfish, or the breathtaking sight of shoals of bright blue flying fish as they try to escape the jaws of chasing dolphins.

We were booked on a 1230 trip but found out only the night before that our cruise ship was to leave at 1330. We worked out that there was a 1000 trip (part of the cruise itinerary) so we just turned up and the company were very good in letting us change this at 0959 and join the one leaving 1 minute later. The boat went straight to the area where the dolphins were and the staff were constantly talking/giving information about the dolphins - we saw probably a hundred or more in the short time. Really enjoyed the trip and well worth every penny.

Very nice staff and very professional. Even in novembre we had the chance to see a lot of dolphins. Even though the activity lasted less than a 1h30 it was more than enough. Great experience.

The crew were very pleasant and knowledgeable. We saw lots of dolphins and learned about them and the local geography. Thank you for a most enjoyable morning.
