After your tour, enjoy a refreshing swim in the sea and lunch at a village taverna. Enjoy hotel pickup and arrive at Imbros around 10 AM. Have breakfast and then hike about 2.5 hours to discover the beauty of this narrow natural passage. Learn about the rock formations and the legend of the 2 brothers that Imbros is named after. For many years, the Imbros Gorge served as part of the trail that connected Chania to Hora Sfakion. Stroll through a piece of World War II history, as you walk where thousands of British soldiers passed through after the Battle of Crete to get to Egypt.  End your hike in Komitades Village and then depart for Sfakia. The trip to imbros gorge was very nice. Ideal for walkers who are armatures too amd don't want to do the long hike. This walk is done easily in 2.5 hours if not 2 thats with stopping for pictures and a sandwich halfway. Some helpful tips Entrance to gorge €2.50 you need cash, there is a cafe at entrance. 50c to use the toilet at the entrance which is a swiz. The guid was friendly however, he does not lead the group onto the gorge he goes in last to ensure knowone has fallen over so you won't see him/her. You get about 1 hour at the cafe at the end of the gorge depending in your speed ect. Do not get into any random taxi at the end there are people at the end asking you to get in a taxi this is a scam. Someone lost €35 to this scam. You get about 1 hour in the village, the bus meets you at the end of the gorge and takes you to village and home. The time for pickup said 5-7am chania alpha bank don't be alarmed it will be 9 20am most likely once you get confirmation.

We had a wonderful time on this excursion! The guide was very informative and made instructions clear in order to get us all down the gorge safely. The hike itself is not too strenuous although some older folks in our group seemed to struggle with it. It’s mostly loose rocks and gravel of all different sizes so it is easy to lose balance. The whole thing is downhill too. After everyone had made it through the gorge, we took another 20 min ride to a small town at the coast and you were able to get food and swim on the beach for about 2 hours before returning to the bus. The whole thing went from about 9:30am to 6pm when we were dropped back off at our hotel due to the 1.5hour bus ride each way. Overall a really wonderful experience and well worth the money for a full day of adventure. Make sure you bring lots of water, snacks, good shoes, and cash for the entrance fee (2.50 per person).

Walked the Imbros gorge with a teenager of 15 years, it is very doable, we started at 09:25 and walked a lot, and it took 2 hours, you walk quite a lot in the shade, which is very nice. The gorge was not crowded, in many places we walked alone. Consciously chose this gorge and not the Samaria gorge because it can be quite busy. We had enough water with us, you can buy something on half.

The hike through the Imbros Gorge was great, the restaurant overlooking the sea and the beach were beautiful. Unfortunately there wasn't enough time for swimming. Unfortunately, the tour guide Costas didn't tell anything about Crete and the gorge, which I personally missed.

Great guide. Hike easily feasible for the inexperienced :) sturdy sports shoes are sufficient. beach is a dream :)
