Very nice experience. Simon, the guide, was very knowledgeable and friendly. He explained everything on the way about the island history, agriculture and traditions. We made quite a few stops to enjoy the stunning views. In my opinion there were long enough to take pictures and absorb the beauty of it as well. Had a lovely experience to the local market where we tasted the local nuts, cheeses and drink and you can also buy them at a decent price if you want a good quality product. Had lunch at a nice restaurant, but that was optional, if not you can explore the area for one hour. Last stop was the aloe vera plantation were the owner explained to us how they look after the plant and how they process it. We tested the products and had a choice to buy them as well. Some were pricey but not mandatory to buy. Overall it is a worthy experience. I recommend it 100% if you want to see the mountain side of the island. It is breathtaking

Picked up early by Miguel (driver) & Chari (guide), from the hotel. The drive took us on windy roads to the top of Gran Canaria. 1st stop Mogan valley for photos. 2nd stop for coffee up the mountain. 3rd stop lunch @ Taledeh with wild chooks & had the best sandwich. After that to top of Gran Canaria via Roque Nublo. Before heading back to the Aloe Vera shop via the Crater @ Las Palmas. All in all we had a fabulous day with Miguel’s expert driving & Chari’s great commentary. We also met a great couple of ladies & had a giggle with them throughout the trip. Chari’s mum & friend were great fun!!

A great way to see the central part of the island (away from the usual beach activities), particularly the mountainous areas and local lifestyle. First half of the day will see you travel through the valleys and ascend up to the highest point of the island. Along the way you will see beautiful landscapes and stop occasionally stop at viewpoints and rest stops. This was my favourite part of the journal. The latter half you will have the opportunity to buy some local produce and see other view points. Note that there is a marketing visit as one of the stops towards the end, but no pressure to buy anything if not wanted. Overall it was an amazing tour, our tour guide Miguel was fantastic, friendly and very easy to talk to. Be prepared for long Car/mini bus journal, there are alot fo winding roads which can cause you to be alittle nauseous.
