Our guide Jean-Claude was superb! His knowledge of all the history surrounding the Alhambra was outstanding. He knew answers to all our questions, and was very pleasant & patient! Thank you J-Claude! Only thing we found was the organization before we started, grouping people & getting them into different groups was a bit chaotic. Otherwise we are extremely happy with our guided tour of the Alhambra.

I NEVER go on a guided tour, but having wanted to visit the Alhambra for years, it was the only way I could visit, as standard tickets had sold out. It appeared to be a very expensive option, but in the end it was good value, as it included a Granada Card, giving me access to pretty much everything else in Granada - make sure you don't book on your last day and can't use this facility! Our guide, Laetitia (apologies for the spelling?!) was superb. She had fantastic English, was enthusiastic, had an incredible knowledge and a great sense of humour. Our group completely 'lucked out' with her. My only issues would be around the lack of clarity about the price of the ticket/tour also including the Granada Card, and the meeting point/organisation of people into groups was shambolic.

There was a lot of people who had booked the tour but we were split into 4 groups quite quickly so that each guide did not have too many people. We got good radio headsets from the guide to be able to hear his commentary. We were very impressed with our guide Vincente who sketched the whole history and context of the Alhambra for us whilst leading us around the gardens, ruins and palaces. Vincente speaks very good English, clearly pronounced and not too fast, so he was easy to follow. We really enjoyed his informative commentary and felt we got much more from our visit than if we had simply wandered around by ourselves. Highly recommended!
