From Monachil: Granada Sunset E-Bike Tour with Soft Drinks

4. From Monachil: Granada Sunset E-Bike Tour with Soft Drinks

This is what awaits you on your sunset tour in Granada. Tourism meets mountain biking. We meet at MEXXFRO in Monachil. After a short presentation of the group and a brief introduction to the bike, we set off directly towards the center of Granada. Our route takes us through narrow streets and hairpin bends, passing the sights of Granada. Of course, there is always time for short photo stops. From the center, we continue to the oldest quarter of Granada, called Albaicín, where the ancient Romans already resided. The remains of the walls are proof of this era. We leave the Albaicin and head to higher ground. Overlooking the highest mountains of the peninsula, after a short climb we pass through the Sacramonte neighborhood, known for its music, dance and flamenco shows. Take some pictures and let's go. Your electric mountain bike rental, the Spitizing Evolution, defies all the climbs and takes you through beautiful scenery to the viewpoint of Llano de la Perdiz. Once there, we enjoy the unique Andalusian sunset. From the top, we contemplate the world famous Alhambra and the rooftops of Granada 400 m below. Here it is important to stop and savor every second. Now it is time to say goodbye. From the viewpoint we return via Granada to our starting point in Monachil. Here we end the evening with a farewell drink.

Favorite thing we did in Granada. Exactly what we were looking for. Bikes were in excellent condition and our guides provided any assistance needed (their bike overview was very brief so if it's your first time riding an e-bike you want to make sure you understand how they work before taking off). While the guides go at a leisure pace and will go slower if the group needs, the trip does require some endurance to manage the ~55km ride. we were all sore the next day.

I highly recommend this activity. It was good fun and a great way to explore an area we would otherwise not have seen. The areas are quite hilly, but the segways made light work of them which in the heat was much better. Our guide was great, very knowledgeable and made it a first rate experience.

Great experience. A perfect foil to the lovely architecture of Granada. This is as you’re in the nature. It’s a long ride and about 57kms for the full route. There are bits which are difficult which wouldn’t be possible without the very well maintained e-bikes. An experience not worth missing.

It was a very nice experience to visit Granada by bike. Fortunately they were electric bicycles because Granada is not flat. Our guide showed us places that we would not have found on our own. We enjoyed it!!!

Lovely energetic guided tour and beautiful views. A great way to get to know the area without getting tired in the feet.
