Begin by heading south towards Lanjarón, the first city of the Alpujarra region. The route will continue through impressive landscapes until reaching Pampaneira, one of the highest cities in Spain and Europe. Here, enjoy the breathtaking views of the Poqueira Valley and take the most incredible photographs. After visiting this town, descend to Bubión, a city founded in Roman times, where you can walk through narrow streets and white houses. Then, your group will follow the route to Capileira, one of the most picturesque villages of La Alpujarra and Andalusia. Visit the interpretation center where a professional will explain everything you've seen on this excursion. This was a great trip to the white villages of the Alpujarra. Our guide Rafa was very knowledgable and friendly. We stopped for a great lunch and had some free time to wander around one of the villages to look at the amazing architecture and views. I would highly recommend this tour.

A non-touristy, beautiful trip with nature, mountains and villages.

During the Alpujarra tour you drive through the beautiful Spanish mountain landscape, you walk through nature, you come in cute villages, you enjoy the views, you drink spring water from natural sources, you put on a nice restaurant and make a delicious wine-tapas tasting, where you can also buy a nice or nice souvenir. We were accompanied by the enthusiastic guide José, who could tell us everything about the area! For when you want to get away from the tourist crowds in the big cities. Worth doing!

The day trip involved a bus trip up into the mountains with stops at a couple of white washed villages, including a visit to a bakery, a chocolate maker and a weaver (with demonstration), as well as examination of the traditional house construction and a traditional laundry. We also stopped at a national park office with displays on the park. The trip then ended with a stop for lunch (at our expense but with a glass of wine included as part of the tour). The guide was friendly and helpful but his English commentary was somewhat limited. Another (Spanish) passenger assisted by providing greater explanations.
