Full description
Journey back to the days of the Moors in Spain on a 3-hour tour of Granada, and see the city’s two most iconic monuments in one of its most historic neighborhoods. Learn the history of the palatial city and Royal House, and why it was declared a National Monument in 1870. Enter the vast complex of the Alhambra and hear about its great influence and importance in the history of Spain. Get essential information about the architectural styles at the Alhambra, including the beautiful Gate of Pomegranates. See the monument to Washington Irving, who lived in the palace when he wrote Tales of the Alhambra. Walk past the Pillar of Charles V fountain, erected in 1554 along the route that leads to the main entrance of the Alhambra. Admire the diverse architectural styles inside the grounds of the palace, such as the Islamic motifs of the courtyards and the fountains and water features of the Generalife. The Generalife (Architect's Garden) was the summer palace of the Nasrid Emirs, and is one of the oldest surviving gardens of the Moors. Admire the Jardím de la Sultana (Courtyard of the Cypress) and Patio de la Acequia (Court of the Water Channel) with its long pool framed by flowerbeds, fountains, colonnades and pavilions. A beautiful and historically fascinating experience.

The Alhambra was breathtaking. Our guide (Natasha) was excellent. She provided a very informative and good humoured tour, answering all questions. At several intervals she invited the group to answer questions of her own about the possible use or identify of several objects and artefacts. We were given adequate time to take photographs at various points during the tour. A memorable experience enhanced by first class tour guide.

Good Tour

The tour was cancelled due to the unavailability of a guide. After getting up at 6.00 am for the tour,7.45, am we were told when we arrived there that it was cancelled. They rescheduled for 5.00pm. This upset everyone. A group were unable to take the rescheduled tour and we had to reorganize our day and stay an extra night. Not good. We turned up at the allotted time and around 5.10pm a guide turned up. The guide was very apologetic and conducted the tour very well. It was not her fault and she told us she had just been given short notice of this tour. Would not use this company again.

Discover Alhambra!

For sure a great experience!! I did not have time to investigate deeply about the Alhambra so this tour was very helpful to fun. Gabriela was a great guide, responded our questions and provided options to do in Granada. This is a great option if you did not find tickets that includes Nasrid Palaces (This was my case).
