  • Granada: Sierra Nevada 4WD Safari

    1. Granada: Sierra Nevada 4WD Safari

Discover some of the best views of the Sierra Nevada mountains surrounding Granada, and enjoy breathtaking panoramas of the old city from secret viewpoints. On the tour, drive along trails that date back over a thousand years, from the time of the Visigods and the Arabs. Following pickup from Granada city center, travel by 4WD vehicle towards the towering peaks of the nearby mountains north of the city. They soar to altitudes of more than 6,700 feet (2,000 meters), and remain snow-capped for much of the year. Explore the north face of the Sierra Nevada to see the highest peaks on the Iberian Peninsula, climbing to heights of more than 3,000 meters. Marvel at the amazing landscape, before driving to Sierra de Huétor Natural Park. The mountains here are lower, and were used by the Moors to draw spring water for the Albaicín, now part of Granada. See some old fortifications from the days...

It was excellent , Miguel is a fantastic guide and we learnt so much from his knowledge of Sierra Nevada. Kindest Regards, Malcolm Msika and Aida Kershavazi

This experience was incredible. Our guide was so knowable and gave a personalized tour of the mountains. Be ready to do some walking - we did a few small hikes and walks to really see some great spots on the mountain so make sure you wear the right clothing and shoes. We did the sunset tour so ended the day near the highest peak of the mountains and had breathtaking views of the sunset into the Sierra Nevada mountains. I highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting the area.

Jaime was amazing! Punctual, great communication. He picked us up at our hotel and was a magnificent tour guide! Very informative, stopped along the way many times to show us interesting sites, wildlife, and other points of interest. We had a amazing lunch and I can’t say thank you enough! I highly recommend this adventure to anybody in Granada, Spain! Five stars!

A superb day from start to finish! Jaime was an excellent, knowledgeable guide who took the utmost care with my elderly parents- I thoroughly recommend the trip… beautiful landscapes seen from off-beaten tracks makes you appreciate our world!
