Travel from Guatemala City to Tikal on a full-day tour. Enjoy an early morning flight from Guatemala International Airport to Mundo Maya Airport in Flores, at which point you will then be transferred to Tikal archaeological site. While in Tikal National Park, you will have the opportunity to walk through the jungle and admire the many species of local flora and fauna. The park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, includes untamed nature, as well as many main temples, plazas, and altars. As you tour the site, your guide will share with you the history of the site and share insights about the Mayan culture. At the end of the tour a traditional lunch will be served. In the afternoon, return to the airport for your flight back to Guatemala City. Upon arrival in Guatemala City, you will then be transferred back to your hotel.

Enjoy 2 full days learning about the ancient Mayan civilization through visits to 2 important archeological sites in Copan and Quirigua. During your 2 days, you will drive across the countries of Guatemala and Honduras and see the scenery and landscapes of these countries. Spend time walking among these well-preserved ruins and learning about the histories and beliefs of the Maya people, as well as the connection between Copan and Quirigua. Detailed Itinerary Day 1: Guatemala City – Copan 7:00: Depart from Guatemala City and make your way to Copan. 11:00: Arrive in Copan and visit the Mayan site of Copan, or the "Kingdom of the Sun," dating back to 300 to 900 AD. See the stone sculptures and ceremonial temples, as well as the residential areas. 16:00: Overnight accommodation at a selected hotel in Copán. Day 2: Copan – Quirigua – Guatemala City 8:00: After breakfast, transfer from Copan, in Honduras, to Quirigua, in Guatemalan territory 11:30: Visit the archaeological site of Quirigua, known for the tallest stelae in the Mayan world. The character that stands out is Kak Chan Tiliw Yopa, also known as Heaven Kawak. Learn about the histories and beliefs of the people, and the Mayan Calendar that predicts the end of the world on 21 December 2012. 14:00: Transfer to Guatemala City or Antigua for overnight accommodations (not included).

3. Pacaya Volcano Tour & Hot Springs from Guatemala City

This day you will visit the Pacaya National Park. Visit to the most active volcano in Guatemala, its 2500 m. above the sea; the environment is formed by humid forest and rocks.  Transfer to the foot of the volcano Pacaya and from there, you start hiking from the San Vicente de Pacaya village and begin the ascent. The route is approximately 60 minutes of walking and up to a distance of approximately 50 meters from the crater. At the top, you can see down into the crater to the lava as well as experience the energy of an active volcano. Pacaya Volcano remains one of the active volcanoes of Guatemala. At the end of your walk you will reach a rocky and arid area where you can see the volcano and lava flows, and where you can cook marshmallows. Time to take photographs. You will then begin your descent and during your journey you will find the Lava Store, where you can feel free to buy a souvenir made with volcanic material. After the visit and exploration of the Pacaya Volcano, you continue to Kawilal Hot Springs where you will have lunch (included). Kawilal is a world of relaxation, where the most important elements of nature are present in this unique place of hot springs. In this environment, fire and heat from the Pacaya Volcano creates the thermal waters and steams. This is a complex that promotes sustainable tourism in Guatemala, and has 12 thermal pools, Thermal Circuit, 25 Steam Baths, and 3 Hydrotherapy Baths. The spa offers Relaxing Massages, Reflexology, Shiatsu Relaxing, Manicure and Pedicure among activities.
