Full description

Watch the glow of the sunset on the Kahalawai Mountains, Lanai Island, and the Molokini Crater on this sunset catamaran cruise from Ma’alaea. Keep an eye out for humpback whales while listening to Hawaiian music. Savor a gourmet dinner and relax with two drinks from the bar.

Depart from the Ma’alaea Harbor and set off into the waves on a catamaran. After exiting the harbor, enjoy a complimentary drink before the dinner service kicks off.

Explore the alcoves of the boat, gaze out over the ocean, and snap photos. While soaking up the tropical views, listen to island-style music. For dinner, chef Keoni will serve the succulent Hawaiian prime rib, Mahi Mahi, teriyaki chicken, ribs, steamed vegetables, white rice with soy sauce, and more.

As you dine, take in views of Kaho’olawe and Lanai in the distance, as well as the top snorkeling location, Molokini Crater. Gaze out at the Kahalawai Mountains of Maui extending toward the sky. You are likely to see humpback whales visiting the islands from Alaska along with other marine mammals.

Captain was very friendly, and told us what to expect. The few was very friendly as well. Our server was Melisa, so nice and gave us tips on the Road to Hana that we were doing the next day. The unit was beautiful. It was windy when we first went out, but that can’t be controlled. Food was good, drinks were great.

The food, drinks, & entertainment were very good!! We enjoyed the evening & got to see many whales too!! However, the departure time was listed as 5:30 with a check in time of 5:00. Also, NO information was given about parking locations. When we arrived before the listed 5:00 check in time, we parked in the “harbor parking” area….only to discover that we could park on the pier by the boat which was at least a mile away!!! No directions were given at all!! Then when we arrived at 5:00, the designated check in time on our form, we were told they were ready to leave & that we barely made the trip!!! If they are changing the time of check in & departure, they need to notify us!!! They need to provide parking information for people who are driving & need to know where to park!!!

It was the best experience. I told my husband if I had to go home tomorrow, I would leave satisfied with such an exhilarating experience. The sunset was amazing. Seeing whales up close and personal felt like a sacred experience. The food was great. The live music was fabulous. A must do when we bring our family and friends back. My only complaint is I forgot a hair tie to keep my hair out of my face. We brought a light jacket and I would recommend that as well. Charge your phone battery. Make sure you have plenty of memory available for pictures and videos.
