Himalayan Social Journey is based in the capital city of Nepal, Kathmandu. Operating over fifteen years, our well established team is one of the leading trekking and tour companies in Nepal. A family owned company, our experienced local guides and porters accompany you every step of your journey, taking you off the beaten track, offering you a unique, culturally vibrant experience. We are committed to making your journey the trip of a lifetime. Whether trekking through the majestic Himalayan foothills, taking a spiritual journey through the middle valleys or on safari in search for the bengal tiger, Himalayan Social Journey takes care of everything. We provide all the essential equipment and plan our itineraries to ensure your safety and comfort. Our team come from Dhading, a remote community in the Nepalese mountains. This community is home to the Himalayan Community Project, a grassroots, non-profit organisation dedicated to enabling education and community development initiatives to benefit the poorest villages in rural Nepal. There are many projects, one of which sponsors children to attend school, provides books, uniforms, furniture and has even built classrooms. We believe it is our responsibility to give back to our community and support the important initiatives of the Himalyan Community Project. That is why we donate a minimum of 10% of our profits and are regularly involved in a number of different community development projects across Nepal.
