Visit the Reunification Palace, being able to listen to your guide's interesting historical knowledge about the structure that was formerly the South Vietnamese President's residence prior to the end of the war in 1975. You will then get the chance to witness the French influence through the French colonial architecture of Notre Dame Cathedral and the Old Central Post Office. Following this, you will head over to the War Remnants Museum, where you can see the vast exhibits regarding the American-Vietnamese War. Next, enjoy a cycle ride to the Ben Thanh Market, where upon arrival you can wander through the vendor-lined walkways that make up one of the city's oldest surviving structures. You will even get the chance to purchase a few unique gifts, such as local crafts, textiles, or other souvenirs. It was a great tour, with a very friendly and knowledgable guide. We were lucky because we were the only two people booked for the day. That meant that we could stay as long or as short as we wanted at any particular sight. The hour-long cyclo bike ride through Chinatown and the Ho Thi Ky flower market was a great start. It's amazing how the cyclo drivers can maneuver around the rest of the crazy Saigon traffic! Next was a visit to the oldest Buddhist temple in Saigon. Watching the monks chant before eating their meal was a surreal experience. Every stop on the tour was an interesting part of the day. The guide answered every question that we had. This tour is a great value and definitely worth the money!

good way to see city - pity the tour guide was not

Requested English speaking guide but my tour guide did not have very good English. He rushed through the palace not giving me time to read the history of the place, stopping in a workshop which had no interested to me and not advertised - I had bitexco additional add on booked but having heard no mention of it on tour I questioned this and only then was it confirmed that it would take place. Tour should last 8 hours, it ended after 5 hours! I would not recommend this tour company - Southern Breeze - no confirmation email send to confirm pick up time I had to ring.
