Puppeteers demonstrate their clever skills by managing puppets with long bamboo rods and a string mechanism under the surface of the water. A traditional Vietnamese orchestra provides musical accompaniment. The puppets act out the stories told by the songs, which reflect the peaceful life of the Vietnamese countryside.

Discover the nightlife of Saigon the way the locals do on a tour by traditional cyclo or scooter. Stop at Saigon's riverside for a local dinner and cruise along the Saigon River with live entertainment on board. With the cyclo option, ride along the city's main streets with a driver and guide and pass by Ben Thanh Market, General Post Office, Notre Dame Cathedral, People Committee Hall, and Opera House. If you choose the scooter option, see the same sites as the cyclo option with additional time to pass by the flower market, Nguyen Thien Thuat apartments, and the fashion district. After your ride, visit Saigon's riverside and be welcomed on board a cruise boat to take in the sites of the city from a new perspective. Cruise along the Saigon River, and enjoy dinner as traditional Vietnamese dance and music shows are performed. Following dinner, relax on the way back towards Bach Dang Harbor where the cruise ends. 07:30 AM: Depart for Cai Be by bus/van via Trung Luong Expressway. Upon arrival in Cai Be, have a boat ride to the remaining site of a renowned wholesale floating market on the Tien River many years ago. This site entitles you to know something about the local trading habit that has changed due to the age of the modern society when more terrestrial transportation and high-technique of agriculture have dominated everywhere. There, you can realize how diverse the area is and how rich orchard gardens are, which makes it the basket of fruit in the lower part of the Mekong River. Ramble in small villages where you will uncover the beauty of an ancient house and learn about the indigenous culture. Make a short visit to a small family business where the locals make coconut fudges and crispy rice popcorn. Savor delicious fresh fruit and feel the slow rhythms of Southern Vietnamese folk music – a kind of music entwined with the life and culture of the Mekong Delta people. Meet your English-speaking driver at your hotel at 5:15 PM, and take a motorbike tour of some of Ho Chi Minh's main attractions. Head to the Golden Dragon Water Puppet Theatre at 6:30 PM for an entertaining puppet show, accompanied by live, traditional music. Next, transfer with your guide to the cruise port, and begin your journey along the Saigon River at 7:45 PM. Admire the views of Ho Chi Minh City by night from your cruise, and dine on tasty, Vietnamese food. The cruise ends at around 9:15 PM, and your driver will then drop you off back at your hotel. We’ll pick you up at your Ho Chi Minh City hotel in the early morning, and you’ll travel with your English-speaking guide to the Cu Chi tunnels. The drive is around 60 km. At Cu Chi you’ll be shown a documentary film about the tunnels and learn how the locals made bamboo traps, rice-paper and rice-wine. You’ll then have the opportunity to explore the web of underground tunnels dug by Vietnamese resistance fighters. After exploring the tunnels, we’ll drive to My Tho. This is one of the provinces that comprise the Mekong Delta area. We’ll cruise by boat along the upper Mekong through a region with islands named after 4 animals that appear in Buddhist writings – Dragon, Unicorn, Phoenix and Turtle. On this part of the tour you’ll observe some of the activities of regional Vietnamese daily life and appreciate how life here depends on the River. We’ll then take you on a trip by rowboat along the small waterways. You’ll see the agricultural richness of the delta region in its fruit orchards, coconut groves and bee-keeping farms. We’ll stop so you can enjoy honey tea, seasonal fruit, fresh coconut candy and southern Vietnamese folk music. At the end of our tour we’ll drive back to Ho Chi Minh City and drop you off at your hotel at around 18:00.

Your tour will begin at 5:30PM, at which point you will be picked up from your hotel to begin your trip. From there you will enjoy the unique art of a water-puppet show, a traditional art form closely connected with the long-standing spiritual life of the Vietnamese people. It is performed in a pool of water, with the water surface acting as the stage. The puppeteers will stand behind a screen and control the puppets using long bamboo rods and string mechanisms which are hidden beneath the water surface. A traditional Vietnamese orchestra will provides background music accompaniment, and singers with origins in north Vietnam will sing songs which tell the story being acted out by the puppets. Although the authentic shows are exclusively in Vietnamese, the tales depict rural life in villages and are easy to understand. The shows typically last for one hour and offer a colorful way to enjoy an ancient tradition. At 7:15PM you will continue to the harbor by pedicab for a dinner cruise, which will allow you to enjoy the city lights and panoramic views of Ho Chi Minh city. You'll enjoy sumptuous Vietnamese cuisine throughout a magical dinner as you cruise aboard a traditional boat, before your tour concludes at 9:30PM.

The tour will being at 6:00 PM with pickup from your hotel. Your guide will give you a quick safety briefing, then you’ll hop on the back of their bike and zip towards the city center with an expert driver.  Weaving through busy lanes you will wind past the ochre edifice of Notre Dame Cathedral and see the Gothic features of Saigon Central Post Office. Drive along roads that skirt the famous river and pass many other gorgeous sights before reaching the port. Here you will climb aboard a luxury cruise vessel. Enjoy a delicious meal of Vietnamese specialties as you drift along the river. Spend some time on the open-air deck to savor the tranquil views of the glittering lights back on shore. After dinner, you’ll be taken back to your hotel, where the tour will end at around 9:45 PM.
