Having grown up with the films this was a must-see on our trip to NZ and it defintiely didn't disappoint. Feels very true to Tolkien's vision despite the tourists and we appreciated the little touches such as umbrellas (it was raining!) and free drink in The Green Dragon pub. Very friendly and information guide and the transportation was well arranged. Would definitely recommend!

Everything about it was brilliant, the precision of the sets was excellent, as was the information provide by our guide, even down to the beer in the green Dragon! I have only gone with 4* as we were disappointed not to be able to see the completed inside of a hobbit hole, to bring them fully to life - but understand that 2 holes are being created in their entirety later this year, so enjoy those of you who enjoy that experience to top off a great day!

Even though it was a wet day, this was such a great experience. The tour guide made his commentary sound fresh and exciting, although he must have led the tour a thousand times. The attention to detail on the set was phenomenal, and the Green Dragon pub experience was a highlight. I loved that I recognised the buildings and the landscape.
