Full description

Upon arrival at the class at Cam Pho, in the heart of Hoi An, you'll be greeted with a traditional Vietnamese tea. Then, start to make a 30 cm lantern made of silk and bamboo in the shape you like - choose between a lotus, diamond, sunrise, or sunset. All the materials you need will be provided, so you can focus on enjoying the experience of making your own lantern. You can either make your lantern completely from scratch for a full class, or choose the express class to start with a pre-made frame. Vietnamese people believe that hanging lanterns in front of their house brings luck, happiness, and wealth to the family. After the class you can take your foldable lantern home as a souvenir from Hoi An.

Absolutely loved ít and would definitely recommend to other travellers and local visitors, as a perfect mini activity! The workshop is about 2.5/3 hours long and the maker is super friendly. During this time, you get to craft and make your own traditional lantern, at a manageable pace and with beautiful hand-dyed fabrics (locally woven) to take home! :) Also bought a few special lanterns that were freshly made as gifts and to decorate my studio! ;) *BLu - Solo traveller

Great experience - i spent the evening making a lantern at the workshop - they guide very well and the lantern colours they have are beautiful. i am now taking back home 3 lovely lanterns that i will hang and make everyone jealous :)
