What people are saying about House and Thermopolium of Vetutius Placidus

Excellent day, but very long trip. So much history to take in in one day. Pompeii guide very good, but very little free time to take photos - this was because she wanted us to see as much as possible. Was surreal being in a town hidden for hundreds of years. If you can take the opportunity to hike up Mount Vesuvius. I am not fit, but I managed to reach the summit. The views are spectacular, and looking in the crater, seeing the rising steam , is something I never thought I would see. Didn't have time to go to the shops for souvenirs, but plenty of memories to take home.

Angie was amazing. Knowledgeable, friendly, funny, patient and a great story teller. I'd love to go on another trip just to hear her talk. Antonio our driver was lovely. Lillia our guide at Pompeii was very informative. Although it was a long day we thoroughly enjoyed every minute. Rest stops were built in and it was possible to buy snacks at the stop. We were able to get lunch at Pompeii, very reasonably priced.

Our driver Francesco was great and the pick ups and drop offs /meeting points were very good. It was brilliant to have Michele the archeologist who has worked on both sites. He was an excellent guide full of terriffic anecdotes and the whole trip was fabulous. We have very many happy memories. It was nice to be in a small group of historical and cultural enthusiasts.

Fantastic tour, well organized and truly VIP. We had our own Mercedes Bus with only 4 pax and in Pompeji our own guide for just the two of us. Marianna our guide was knowledgeable and empathic, a borne guide!! Also single table for lunch (which was tasty) and Trip up to Vesuv is a adventure. You see it all. Would recommend this package for sure, worth the money.

The archeological site is AMAZING. The views from Vesuvius stunning. Our guide Antonella is truly passionate about everything history/archeology. Fausto our driver was a MVP driving up the mountain!
