Excellent tour

For our first time in Pompeii we decided to take this tour, with Pompeii and Mt. Vesuvius combined and we are happy we did, it was a long day but worth it! Pompeii is much bigger than you think. It offers a glimpse into a long-gone civilization with its cult of the body, obsession with material comforts and our guide Chiara was very clever in showing us around the best areas of Pompeii and telling us all about the life of the Romans, she was great! We then went to Mt. Vesuvius, the steep walk up took us about 30 minutes, comfortable shoes are essential. You get a stunning view of Naples and the bay and a walk along the rim of the crater, from here on a clear you can see Pompeii below. The steaming rocks, steep lava screes, and swirling mists can create an intimidating atmosphere. It was wonderful! I'd do it again any day!

wonderful trip! :)

This trip was the nicest of our entire week in Rome. Paolo, our driver, drove us through the narrowest streets with sleepwalking security and also told little stories. Gaetano, our guide in Pompeii, was not only very charming, but also a great guide who was able to show us exciting and informative details on every corner. Without him we would have missed a lot in Pompeii! We then did not quite manage the ascent to Vesuvius. On the one hand, this was due to the very warm weather, on the other hand, the delicious food that we were allowed to enjoy at the winery. Very tasty, very rich - highly recommended! :)

Highly recommended excursion if you want to go alone and on your own. The super good attention and the magnificent guide Francesca de Pompeii.
