Rory’s passion for the city and its people was contagious. He brings a new perspective to the roots and cultures of a vibrant neighbourhood, home to a variety cultures and therefore a variety of delicious food. The tour captured some small local restaurants that are pillars in their community, thought provoking street art, and a downtown park buzzing with activity and beauty that evolved from lifeless concrete parking lots. I would highly recommend this activity to tourists visiting the city, and to locals who want to explore and experience their own city from a new perspective.

This food tour takes place in a small niche of downtown Houston with fun diversity in the restaurants without walking a long distance. My group enjoyed the extras like the graffiti wall and the Phoenician grocery store (best baklava ever)! Yeah for Rory, our guide!

Vanessa is a very knowledgeable, very enthusiastic and super helpful guide. It was a pleasure to have her leading our tour.

Rory our tour guide was lots of fun. The food was eclectic and the tour was very interesting.

The guide was so entertaining. One should go see illumination and or other events there!
