From here, visitors can glimpse the last feudal dynasty of Vietnam. Our first stop is Dong Ba market, the largest market in Hue and also a trading place of many small businesses. This place best depicts the daily life of the locals. The massive Hue Citadel is the most well-known and iconic site in Hue. Begun in 1805 by Emperor Gia Long, it is actually a sprawling complex comprised of the Imperial City, several museums, lakes, and beautiful gardens, all laid out in a series of concentric circles. We also visit Hue Royal Antiques Museum. There you can admire artifacts, as well as learn about the ancient royal life of this city. After that, we will go to Thien Mu Pagoda - a historic pagoda on the banks of the Perfume River in Hue, Vietnam. Apart from their scenic riverside and hilltop location, the Thien Mu Pagoda and its environs are also rich in history, standing witness to almost four hundred years of tumultuous nation-building in Vietnam. Take a boat trip on the Perfume River back to Hue center.

Travel from Hoi An to Hue by private car with a driver who speaks basic English. Take time to visit many beautiful spots along the way. Choose your preferred time of departure for the three-hour trip. On the way from Hoi An to Hue, you can ask your driver to stop at places of your choice, such as Marble Mountain – a land of dream-like landscapes with pagodas and grottoes, or Non Nuoc Stone Carving Village – where internationally famous marble handicrafts are made. You might choose to stop at My Khe Beach - one of the most perfect of Da Nang's beaches, Hai Van Pass, palm-shaded Lang Co Beach, and Elephant Springs as well.

You will be picked up from your hotel in Hue and head to the first stop of the tour, Minh Mang Tomb. The site is considered one of the best examples of Nguyen Dynasty architecture and artwork, and is set within a beautifully landscaped garden. Next, proceed to Khai Dinh Tomb. This tomb is situated in the Chau Mountains, in between scenic pine, cassava, and sugar cane farms. The tomb's architecture is a blend of East and West. It took eleven years to build and was completed in 1931. Then, continue to Tu Duc Tomb, located in an area of rolling hills and pine trees 7km outside Hue. The tranquil grounds are filled with trees, ponds, and pavilions where Tu Duc used to write poetry. Emperor Tu Duc had his tomb built 16 years prior to his death and actually wrote his own biography prior to his death. The last stop of the trip will be the Thien Mu Pagoda. It is the oldest religious structure in Hue and is also one of the most impressive. It was constructed during the 17th century to worship the legend of a local woman with spiritual connections. The tour ends with drop-off back at your accommodation in Hue city.
