History will call out to you on every one of its pedestrian streets.  After a visit to Hunawihr and a photo stop in front of its famous fountain, enjoy lunch in the village of Riquewihr, one of the best known in the region —  particularly renowned because of its idyllic location in the heart of the vineyard. The tour will continue to two villages that are equally famous for their historical character: Kaysersberg and Eguisheim. These two villages have been elected “Favorite Villages of the French", a famous French program celebrating the year of the French’s favorite villages. We booked a tour of two lovely towns outside of Colmar on our recent vacation in Alsace. Surprisingly, only my husband and I were booked this time and so we had a very private tour with Amalie, our guide! She was amazingly knowledgeable about the area's history and the towns we visited in particular. As she also gives wine tours, we learned much about the cultivation and production of the fine wines of the region. Amalie gave us some time at the second town to explore on our own where we had the chance to enjoy some of that great wine! Lastly, she drove us through other parts of the countryside to see some amazing vies of the hills and other small towns along the way. It was an exceptional tour!

Loved this! Exceeded my expectations of the historical Alsace villages. It felt like we went back in time and walked down the cobblestone streets. I can see why Beauty and the Beast was inspired by these villages! I wish the audio tour talked more about the culture and how people lived and their day to day lives rather than so much on how different wars impacted the villages. Our guide was a wonderful driver! LOVED the convertible van, it had charging stations and WiFi! The windows were plenty big so we could take lots of pictures.

The tour is conducted in small groups (there were 4 of us) which makes it very nice to look around and enjoy the villages. The villages we stopped at were beautiful! Highly recommend this tour as you can cover a lot in a short span of time

A perfectly timed day to really get to see many of the most charming villages on the Alsatian Wine Route.

Great tour guide. It was pleasant morning tour, we enjoyed visiting the Alsace villages
