You will find more than 25 thousand plants of 160 species including endemic and in nature extinct species on the Pitiusas (Ibiza and Formentera) and get to know some cutting-edge, biotechnological devices, such as the Photobioreactor, the Atmospheric Water Generators, the Bioo Panels or the Plant Piano. Nature and technology are combined here in a new way, unique in Europe and, possibly, in the rest of the world. The first you will see is the PHOTOBIOREACTOR for the growth of microalgae which voraciously consume CO2 and provide oxygen like one hundred trees. Then you will enter the dune and the coastal habitats, you will learn how typical Mediterranean saltworks function based on a replica of the typical Mediterranean saltworks, were you can see the "salt lover" plants. Discover what the water from the sky of Ibiza tastes like! This is now possible thanks to the atmospheric water generators. Taste this pure superior quality water which NEVER touched the ground, nor been treated with chemicals and compare it to the underground water of the park. You will also have the opportunity to see three ancient beehives, introduced by Phoenicians and Carthaginians coming from Egypt to Ibiza, and walk through the freshwater habitats, represented here by a lake and a small stream, and its rich biodiversity, home to a large number of birds and insects and relax in the new area of Plato, under a fige-tree next to a small cascade full of frogs and life.
