What people are saying about Imlil

The excursion more than exceeded our expectations! The pickup worked great and the guide Abdul was very personable. In addition to the cooking course, there was also a visit to an argan oil "factory" and a camel ride. When we arrived at the mountain of the cooking class, there was a lot of snow and it was also raining, so it was not easy to get to the destination by bus. But together with the help of friends, they did everything they could to ensure that we got to the cooking class safely (even if our feet got a little wet by then due to the wrong shoes). The cooking class itself took place in a beautiful family run hillside riad and we were able to make tajines ourselves. In the dining room we could warm up our shoes and feet by the fireplace. During all activities, the guides tried very hard to make many photo stops and they also took a lot of photos of us tourists. A truly unique experience that shows so many facets of Morocco!

I highly recommend this experience because not only the whole day was above all expectations but also all guides and people involved were really lovely and nice with us. To start we had an amazing experience visiting an argan oil factory together with a traditional Berber breakfast. Close to lunch time we stopped to buy vegetables and chicken at the local market and moved to a kitchen to learn on how to prepare salad, chicken tagine, and mint green tea in our cooking class. After the preparation we enjoyed the food with a stunning view to Mt Atlas and the local village. To finish the day we had a short camel ride close in Agafay Desert.

This tour was my favourite of the several tours we did while in Morocco. It was amazing to go into an actual family home in the village and learn their tips and tricks on how to make a great tagine. It was the best chicken tagine we’ve had so far! We ate the meal on the home rooftop which had a wonderful view of the surrounding mountains. I highly recommend.

Cooking class with Jamal and his family. Very well taken care of. very friendly accommodating. He speaks French very well. Tagjin was cooked very finely. Was eaten on the terrace. We recommend

Cooking in a beautiful place. Very friendly people and a fantastic guide. We were really pampered. What an experience!! Keep in mind that you will be gone all day but definitely worth it!
