Panama City: Money Heist and San Blas Islands Day Trip

1. Panama City: Money Heist and San Blas Islands Day Trip

Be collected from your accommodation in Panama City to start the day trip. Drive 2.5 hours to San Blas Port, Carti, and then take a local Panga boat to the first of the San Blas islands. First arrive at Pelicano Island, made famous by the Netflix series Money Heist. Enjoy a light breakfast of fresh fruit and coffee and take some time to sunbathe with hammocks. Towels will be provided. Then take the paddleboards and your snorkel gear and go paddle to Ucubusi Island where you will find one of the best reefs to snorkel in San Blas. Discover a variety of colorful fish species. Afterward, enjoy a lunch of fresh fish, rice, and salad. After lunch, head to the natural swimming pool. Chill out on a bank of sand in the middle of the ocean where you can walk or swim around to find your starfish. Finally, visit a local community where you will see how the locals live. You can try the coconut bread made on the island, and see how molas are made by the grandmas on the island. Sail back towards the port and return to Panama City in the evening.

The tour is a fantastic detour to paradise to start our journey. First something about the organization - everything worked out great, the pick-up was on time and everything was taken care of. A stop at the supermarket is also included. I have to deduct points for the transport, although we had the best driver, who drove very well and fortunately was experienced. However, the 2nd part of the trail was really not for the faint of heart - some cars were parked at the edge because the tourists were throwing up. There was a traffic jam at the border to Guna Yana and we were on the road for a little over 3 hours. This is quite a distance for a day trip. Once arrived we were compensated for everything... our guide Keneth was very accommodating and took great care of everything. On the first island you have time to arrive and realize this beauty... I recommend staying at least overnight, because when it was the most beautiful we unfortunately had to go back.

Wonderful day. Everything is as described in the schedule. Pick up at 5h30, 3h drive including a fairly eventful hour. Arrival around 9h-9h30 to embark on small boats. 1st drop on a magnificent island with a bar, a swing etc. 2nd stop: Island where fresh fruit, paddle and canoe await you. 3: direction the natural swimming pool: snorkeling to admire fish and stars 4: direction Pero chico (casa de papel) to eat, swim and relax. Back on dry land around 4 p.m. To be done again without hesitation.

The tour was well organized, the pickup was on time and we had an amazing day in the San Blas Islands. In total we were on four islands and had a great guide who speaks good English. However, one should not underestimate the drive to the beach - about two of the three hour drive goes through the middle of mountains with bad roads. Nevertheless, a day trip that is definitely worth it.

It was fun. On one of the small islands, they knew it was our thirtieth anniversary. They set up a table on the beach with palm tree leaf decorations and a lobster dinner. Awesome. It makes us want to be married for another thirty years!

Good islands, especially with the last island where we visited the local islanders. Fantastic.
