Day 1:
Catch the domestic flight from Istanbul Ataturk airport very early in the morning. Your journey will take around 1.5 hours. Upon arrival to Kayseri or Nevsehir airport at the arrival gate your driver will hold a sign with your name on. Drive to the Cappadocia area and check in to the boutique hotel.
Then meet your tour guide and join a tour including the main attractions of Cappadocia. Visit Pasabag (Monks Valley) which is famous for the mushroom-shaped fairy chimneys with double and triple rock caps. Explore the lunar landscape at Devrent Valley; enjoy delicious lunch at a local restaurant and continue to the to Goreme, where a world-famous open air museum located. There you will visit numerous rock-cut churches with incredible paintings on the walls and ceiling.
Then drive to the old Greek vıillage, Cavusin, watch a live pottery demonstration in Avanos town and enjoy spectacular views of Uchisar castle. At the end of the tour you will be dropped off at the hotel. Overnight stay at Cappadocia.
Day 2:
Early in the morning, enjoy a hot-air balloon ride over scenic Cappadocia. Pick-up time from the hotel is 4:30 AM in summer and 6:30 AM in winter. The hot-air balloon flight is an unforgettable, once-in-a-lifetime experience. Come back to your hotel and have breakfast.
At about 9:30 AM you will be picked up from the hotel and visit the famous Derinkuyu underground city. It is the deepest of the discovered underground cities in Cappadocia reaching the depth of about 85m. This multi-level underground city could accommodate approximately 20,000 people. After Derinkuyu explore Ihlara valley and Melendiz river. Ihlara valley is a 14km-long gorge made of the same soft volcanic rock found throughout Cappadocia. Walk through the vineyards and pistachio trees, enjoy relaxing sounds of flowing water and see the fauna of the area. After hiking, have a delicious lunch at a restaurant over Melendiz river. Enjoy traditional Turkish foods cooked by locals.
The last place to visit is Selime Monastery, with its amazing huge fairy chimney. It is the biggest religious building in Cappadocia dating back to the 13th century. Selime monastery is a must-see place while you are in Cappadocia because of its size and interesting structure. After exploring this great place the tour finishes and you will drive to the airport. Fly from Kayseri/Nevsehir to Istanbul.
