Full description

If you are into taking great travel photos, Istanbul is one of the best locations to do just that. Stop by at Istanbul’s greatest hits to take some amazing selfies and photos to immortalize your journey on this guided tour.

Start with pickup from your hotel by private, air-conditioned car. First head to the old part of the city and explore the most popular highlights. There is a lot to capture on this route, from local coffee shops with great views to traditional markets that looks like a movie scene with all its colors and dynamism. The Hippodrome Square, where chariot races were held in the Byzantine period, is our first stop in the old city. Your guide will tell you about the square's history and important landmarks, including the Egyptian Obelisk (brought to Istanbul in the 4th century), the Serpentine's Column, and the Column of Constantine.

Next, admire the majestic Hagia Sophia. The Hagia Sophia – aka the Holy Wisdom- was built as a basilica by Roman Emperor Justinian I in 532 AD. It became a mosque in the 15th century, and served as a museum for years. Now it is open to visits as a museum-mosque. Continue to the Blue Mosque known for its stunning exterior architecture, exceptional interior design, and mystical atmosphere. It is such a unique mosque with 6 minarets, which caused an argument back in the days. Because the only mosque with 6 minarets was in Makkah, the pilgrimage place of Muslims and people blamed the Ottoman sultan for being arrogant. The sultan solved this problem by having built one more minaret in Makkah’s Masjid al-Haram.

Explore a massive covered marketplace where you will be surrounded by over 5000 shops at the Grand Bazaar, one of the largest and oldest covered bazaars of the world, gives you a great opportunity to take matchless photos as well as buy some unique souvenirs.
