Full description
This full-day tour from Izmir, takes you to Ephesus in Selçuk to explore Turkey’s best preserved ruins from the ancient Greek, Roman, and Byzantine civilizations. You will also see the Library of Celsus, built to hold 12,000 scrolls and at its time one of the largest libraries in the world. The nearby Great Theater, which was the largest outdoor theater in the world, was designed to hold 24,000 people – even its ruins are huge. After discovering the impressive monuments, you will visit the Archaeological Museum of Ephesus. We were picked up promptly at our hotel in Izmir and comfortably driven to a rendezvous point to collect the other 9 participants. Josh was an excellent guide. Very knowledgeable but also knew when to give the group time to wander about. Very enjoyable. Would recommend, especially if limited time is an issue.

In a sunny but cold and windy day, our small group really enjoyed the entire activity. It was well organized and as per schedule. Our tour guide, Guray was amazing. He was knowlegable, and dedicated with lot of information about the historical site and entire region

With a significant other we made this booking and it proved to be very impressive. Ismail was absolutely fantastic and I will be happy to personally say thank you (missed the chanced to give it an unsolicited tip). Well, Izmir, perhaps not again but will recommend this to any friend.
