Spend the night in India’s enchanting Thar Desert on this 2-day, private tour from Jaisalmer. Meet your driver directly at your hotel, from where you begin by setting off on an afternoon Jeep tour. Visit landmarks such as the abandoned and centuries-old village of Kuldhara, before continuing to the golden dunes of the Thar Desert. Following a camel ride, enjoy dinner around a fireplace, live music performances, and the chance to sleep under the stars.  Following tea, breakfast, and a camel ride the following morning, your guide returns you to your accommodation.

Your tour will begin when you’re picked up from your hotel in Jaisalmer in the afternoon and driven to Khuri Sand Dunes.  Once you’ve arrived in Khuri, you’ll then begin a camel ride, visiting some quaint villages along the way and arriving at the sand dunes just in time for sunset. After experiencing some impressions of the desert, you’ll then enjoy a delicious Rajasthani dinner and Rajasthani folk dance and music at your campsite. Then, after nightfall, you’ll sleep in your Swiss tent under the desert stars.  The following morning after sunrise, you’ll enjoy breakfast and another camel ride before being driven back to Jaisalmer between 10-11 AM.

At 8 AM, your driver will pick you up from your booked hotel in Jaisalmer. Visit Jaisalmer Fort, a yellow sandstone fort built on Trikund Hill. Admire the splendid architecture with 99 bastions, 4 fortified gates, The Raj Mahal Palace, Jain Temples, and The Laxminath Temple.  Continue on to Patwon ki Haveli museum, which was once the largest Haveli in Jaisalmer with a cluster of 5 huge mansions or havelis. See the sandstone carvings, mirror work, fine paintings, artistic arches, and gateways. Move on to Salim Singh Ki Haveli known for its beautiful architecture and rooms forming a pattern of peacock bird. Visit Nathmal Ji Ki Haveli and marvel at the pure blend of Rajput and Islamic architecture and yellow sandstone walls decorated with eye-catching elephant patterns. Next, head to the Gadisagar Lake Tank, a water conservation tank built in 1400 AD which is a great place to enjoy some birdwatching. Spend the evening enjoying a joyous camel safari on the Sam sand dunes in the Thar Desert and take in the spectacular sunset views with golden sand all around. After being picked up in mid-afternoon from your hotel in Jaisalmer, the airport, railway station or the bus station, you will proceed to the Sam Sand Dunes and Khuri Sand Dunes located 45 kilometers from the city. Once here, you will head out for your camel safari adventure across the Thar Desert. The major attraction for tourists visiting Sam is this native experience of the camel safari, one of the most spectacular and unique ways to experience Rajasthan. Camels are the "ships of the desert", and will guide you through this vibrant landscape. You will spend approximately 1-2 hours in the Thar Desert, before being able to enjoy the mesmerizing sunset as well as a Marwari-style dinner, served at a local's house.

Upon arrival at Jaisalmer Airport, Jaisalmer Junction Railway Station or the bus station, you will be greeted by your English-speaking driver at your selected departure time.
