What people are saying about Jurmala

This was a breathtaking way to get out of Riga and see more of the real Latvia. The tour includes 3 stops: 1. a walkway in and out of a forest through bogs and wetlands; 2. a walkway amongst marshes; and 3. a trip past pine trees and dunes to the beach. Stops 1 and 2 include stunning views from vantage towers. We visited in December 2022 and, although snow had started to melt and stop 1 was rainy, by the time we reached stop 3, the sky had broken, providing stunning views of the sky, beach and sea. Our guide, Rolands, is a biologist and conservationist, whose passion and knowledge of the area and of Latvian culture and history was amazing. Nothing was too much trouble for him and I can honestly say he’s the best tour guide I’ve ever encountered. He provided details the day before as well as food and drinks on the day, and was happy to take pics of my wife and I to capture memories. We will definitely do another tour in Latvia and look forward to Rolands being our guide again.

I went on this trip on 16th of February and I was so lucky to have an amazing trip, albeit it was in the winter-time. Roland was my guide and he picked me up at the preset time. He was an amazing guide who had much to offer on both the nature and Latvia. I would definitely recommend this tour for people who enjoy hiking and exploring different forms of nature that isn’t seen in your normal everyday outdoors. We went to both Kelmeri National Park, the beach, wet forest and a lagoon. It was very beautiful, and winter definitely did something beautiful for the nature. Along the way, Roland had prepared local snacks and it was a fun way to show the country as well.

What an amazing experience! I don’t think we have ever been on a tour with someone at such a personal level. It really gave us an opportunity to connect with the culture while experiencing such a wonderful atmosphere! If nature is what you’re interested in, then this is a trip you would love to book; exploring rich green forests to a beautiful swampy boardwalk and a white sandy beach, Roland has so much knowledge and passion for nature. The variety of scenery he showed us was absolutely breathtaking. Highly recommended!

Was a wonderful day! We can recommend the tour to everyone. Although the tour was in English, we could understand everything well. So don't hesitate because of possible language barriers. The guide was super nice and told us a lot about the places but also about the Latvian culture. It's worth it!! :)

Great experience. Tour guide was excellent gave us lots of information and also brought typical Latvian food to try
