Day 1 Trains are the most spacious and comfortable way of travel in Greece. Catch the morning train to Kalambaka from Athens Larissa railway station, and enjoy a trip that will give you the chance to admire the beauty of the Greek countryside. Upon your arrival in Kalambaka your English-speaking driver will be waiting for you at the train station holding a signboard with your name on it to transfer you to your hotel. Late in the afternoon, a VIP minibus will pick you up from the hotel to join the Meteora Sunset Tour to admire breathtaking views of Meteora and to discover the hidden gems of this place. Day 2 For the next morning, have the chance to choose the activity you wish: the Half-Day Morning Tour of Meteora to see the main attractions, the monasteries of Meteora with a VIP minibus or the Hiking Tour of Meteora to walk among the rock giants. Visit 2 monasteries of Meteora, the secluded hermit caves of Badovas and enjoy the best panoramic viewpoints of the 6 monasteries. After this morning tour, the bus will drop you back to your hotel. The evening is free for you to explore the area on your own. Day 3 The morning is free. In the evening, a taxi transfer will be arranged for you from your hotel to the local train station at Kalambaka. At 5:15 PM, the train departs from Kalambaka and arrives at 9:25 PM to Athens.

Catch the train to Kalambaka from Thessaloniki railway station and enjoy a trip that will give you the chance to admire the beauty of the Greek countryside. Upon your arrival in Kalambaka, at around 11:31 AM, your English-speaking driver will be waiting for you at the train station holding a signboard with your name on it to transfer you to your hotel. Late in the afternoon, your VIP minibus will pick you up from the hotel to join the Meteora Sunset Tour to admire breathtaking views of Meteora and to discover the hidden gems of this place. Day 2 For the next morning, you will the chance to choose the activity you wish between a half-day morning tour of Meteora to see the main attractions, the monasteries of Meteora with a VIP minibus or a hiking tour of Meteora to walk among the rock giants. Experience amazing sceneries and visit monuments of the Byzantine period, the monasteries of Meteora and learn their history. After this morning tour, at around 1:00 PM, the bus will drop you back to your hotel. The evening will be free for you to explore the area on your own. Day 3 Have the morning free. In the evening, a taxi transfer from your hotel to the local train station at Kalambaka will be arranged for you. At 5:15 PM, the train will depart from Kalambaka and arrive at 8:31 PM to Thessaloniki.

Take a tour from Kalabaka into the woods around Meteora, beginning at approximately 10:00 AM at the Meteora Museum. Take your car or a taxi to follow the truffle hunting crew. Walk with the truffle hunter and his dogs to search for rare kinds of truffle. Specially trained truffle dogs with their trainer are searching for this unique fruit of Greek nature. Learn about the kind of truffles that exist here and how they can be used. At around 11:30 AM, taste an exceptional truffle past dish in the forest. This dish will be cooked by an expert chef in an impressive cooking pan that can accommodate 50 people. After the end of truffle hunting, head to the museum. Be guided around both the natural history museum and the unique mushroom museum. After that, enjoy a mushroom product tasting with 5 to 6 kinds of mushrooms using a traditional mushroom spoon. This is accompanied by a glass of local wine. 

The tour begins in the early morning, almost an hour before dawn, with pickup from your hotel in Kalabaka or Kastraki. Drive around the rocks of Meteora and then enjoy a short walk through the woodland in order to find the perfect viewpoint for capturing unforgettable photos of the landscape. As the sun rises, admire the Meteora at it basks in the glow and various shades of the morning sky. Listen to tips and tricks from your expert guide on how to capture the perfect photo at this most advantageous time of day. Once the sun has risen, visit a selection of the monasteries of Meteora which were built several centuries ago by Christians seeking refuge from Ottomon rule. Learn about how these monks believed the higher the monastery was placed, the closer they would be to God. After 4 hours of exploration and photography, the tour concludes and your guide will drop you off at your hotel, or somewhere in Kalabaka if you wish to continue your day with a coffee or brunch in the town.

Day 2 Next morning, have the opportunity to choose the activity you prefer, the Meteora hiking tour or the half-day morning tour. Your guide will meet you in the lobby to explore Meteora together and to discover the natural beauty and the cultural heritage of this area. Enjoy a journey back in time and learn the stories of the first hermits and monks who laid the foundations of the monastic community of Meteora. Your driver will pick you up to transfer you to the train station. At 5:15 PM, the train departs and you will switch trains at Paleofarsalos, arriving back to Thessaloniki at 8:31 PM.

Day 1: Drive through the fertile plains of the Beotia region, passing the towns of Thebes, Levadia, and Arachova. Arrive in Delphi and visit the archaeological site, the most famous oracle of the ancient world. Depart for Kalambaka, a small town located at the foot of the astonishing Meteora complex, whose gigantic rocks rise steeply from the plain of Thessaly (dinner and overnight). Day 2: Visit Meteora and admire the ageless Monasteries perched on top of huge rocks, where you can see exquisite specimens of Byzantine art. Depart from Kalambaka to Thessaloniki, driving through the valley of the longest river in Greece, the Aliakcmon. Arrive in Thessaloniki, the second largest and the most vibrant city in Greece (dinner and overnight). Day 3: In the morning visit the city that throughout the era of the Byzantine Empire was the “co-reigning” city, second in population and prestige only to Constantinople. Visit unique monuments and feel the glorious Byzantine past in some of the oldest and most characteristic churches of the Christian world as well as the Museum of Byzantine Culture, awarded with the Council of Europe's Museum Prize in 2005. The rest of the day is free, to enjoy time in the lively city center (dinner and overnight). Day 4: Spend the day exploring the highlights of Macedonia, first with a stop in picturesque Edessa to see the town's famous waterfalls. Then proceed to Naoussa to learn about Aristotle's School, the site where the great philosopher taught the doctrines of morals and politics to Alexander the Great and the Macedonian youth. Next drive to Vergina (ancient Aigai) to visit the museum created in the Great Tumulus covering the royal tombs of Macedonia. See the astonishing findings from the tomb of King Phillip II, Alexander's father, and feel the thrill of the greatest discovery of the 20th century. Continue a few miles further to Veria (Biblical Beroea) to visit Saint Paul's Bema, and stroll through the old Jewish neighborhood and the colorful market area. Return to Thessaloniki (dinner and overnight). Day 5: Drive to Pella, the capital of Alexander the Great. See the exquisite floor mosaics decorating the villas from the 4th century B.C. and visit the new Museum. Then proceed and visit the Archaeological Park of Dion, a city sacred to the Macedonians and situated at the foot of Mount Olympus, the highest mountain in Greece and house of the 12 Gods of Greek Mythology. On the way back to Athens, drive through the striking Thessaly Plain and the Valley of Tempi, admire the gigantic figure of Mount Olympus, and stop in Thermopylae to see the Leonidas Monument. Arrive in Athens late in the afternoon.
