2. Kangaroo Island: 4WD Adventure in Seal Bay & North Coast
Take part in a small group tour with a maximum of six passengers. Admire the sea lions of Seal Bay and witness the wildlife of the North Coast in this immersive experience. Take advantage of a flexible itinerary which can be customized from two options.
Option 1: Departure from Kingscote or Kingscote Airport:
Enjoy pickup from the airport or a Kingscote hotel. Visit the Seal Bay Conservation Park and admire sea lions resting on the beach from just a few meters away.
Next, visit Duck Lagoon and encounter parrots like the Crimson Rosella and Rainbow Lorikeet. You'll also see eucalyptus flourishes on the shore and spot some koalas.
After lunch, continue your tour with a visit to the Emu Bay beach, where you might spot dolphins swimming close to the shore. Enjoy one of the most beautiful and safest swimming locations on the island, with a possible swimming break in summer.
Next, head toward Stokes Bay to spot Kangaroos and Wallabies grazing. Stokes Bay is also famous for its tunnel between the rocks to reach the beach in front of it. Near the bay, you will be able to see a couple more Koalas.
At the end of the tour, after seeing Sea Lions, Kangaroos, Koalas, Wallabies and, if you are lucky enough, even an Echidna up close, enjoy drop-off back at your hotel, the airport or ferry port.
Option 2: Departure from Penneshaw, American River or Ferry Terminal:
Start your tour with pickup from your hotel in American River or Penneshaw, or off the ferry from Cape Jervis. In addition to visiting Seal Bay, this option includes exploring Pennington Bay and the Pelican Lagoon, with the opportunity to see many wild kangaroos up close.
Take advantage of an experience off the tourist track, and see areas which can only be visited in small groups in a four-wheel drive vehicle.
