Overall it was a good water rafting trip. The scenery is beautiful and our guides were really good. Arjun from Green Valley Nepal came to meet us the day before and talk us through the trip. One of our group gets travel sick so we booked a taxi ($70) both ways instead of the bus and public transport. It's a long drive from Kathmandu, but I thought it was worth it to see the countryside! Lunch was daal bhaat - yum! You can take some valuables (a water-tight box is on each raft. Large bags go separately. The rafting itself was fun but not the biggest rapids I've seen. The rafting was actually run by another company - 'Eco' something. My only complaint was that the trip information said we would have, 'lunch on a beach of Trisuli River which features its unique sculptured boulders. Afterwards, you enter the Trishuli gorge.' Perhaps it was because the water levels, or perhaps this is the second day of the extended tour, but we didn't see this beach or the gorge. Too bad.
I could not give this a 5 star simply because the time it takes to get to the put in place, and the return is very exaggerated. The brochure lists 3 hours, but the traffic issues, and road conditions make that impossible. It took 4 1/2 hours to arrive, and 5 and 1/2 to return. For 3 hours on the water seems like a rough trade off. The rafting part was fine, and the lunch provided was very good, but the travel time was crazy. The location is only 65 miles from Kathmandu, so that lets you know how fast you move.
