Full description
Visit Auschwitz-Birkenau and experience one of the darkest chapters in European history on a full-day guided tour from Krakow. Learn about the inhumane conditions people had to live in as you tour the site with a guide. Arrive at Auschwitz, the site of extermination during Nazi occupation. With a licensed guide, contemplate the barbed wire fences, watchtowers, barracks, gallows, and gas chambers. Spend 2 hours here with a short 20-minute break.  Continue to Birkenau, a 5-minute drive from Auschwitz. Explore the site, comprised of 300 buildings, including watchtowers, latrines, and gas chambers. Gain an understanding of the people who passed through the camp and the memory of those who perished. Great transport and really nice driver. Great effort (even had an umbrella for us when it rained) and very accommodating. The bus was new and the ride was very comfortable. The tour was then taken on site in a large group by an employee. All in all perfectly organized and recommended at any time. History must not be forgotten

Hard experience but to do. Well organized. Requested a time, the night before they move it in advance of an hour. They could have been more precise. Meeting point for the return: The last traveler showed up an hour later. Better to give a definitive time. Very good guide with excellent Italian. Recommended

Everything was arranged very well accordingly to program. Thanks to driver Stanislaw that picked us up and dropped us off accordingly to requested address. Visit of Auschwitz 1 was longer and contained much more details than visit of Auschwitz-Birkenau, although territory itself is much bigger at latter. We would prefer that visit of Auschwitz-Birkenau lasted more time too. We recommend to everybody this tour, it is very important to know this ugly part of history in order to save humanity from it in the future.
