Our guide Cristian was very knowledgeable about the plants, insects, reptiles and animals of the forest. He was also very funny! There are lots of things you would never spot without a guide. The hike through the forest overlooking Arenal was a little strenuous. I'm in decent shape and struggled a bit. There were lots of other tours happening and people in the park so be prepared for that. My husband and I only chose the half day but if I had more time I would of liked to swim in La Fortuna waterfall. I was told there are around 500 steps to the waterfall. No matter what you chose the guides and driver get everyone to where they need to be. I would highly recommend!

100% highly, highly recommend! Our guide, Chris, was awesome! Super knowledgeable about the animals, plants, and history of the area. He was able to know animals were nearby by just a leaf on the ground - it was insane! We saw eyelash pit vipers, an owl butterfly, several types of beautiful birds, monkeys and a mama sloth and her baby!! The hike itself is beautiful, you are surrounded by the jungle, with amazing views from the hanging bridges. AND lunch, pick up, and a dip in the hot springs was all included! Do it!

It was a very educational day with our guide Max who was extremely knowledgeable on the plants, animals, and history of the area. He treated it as a lesson on how to survive in the jungle which made it more interesting. There is a good bit of walking and the hike back up from the waterfall can be strenuous but well worth it! The soak in the hot springs was a perfect way to end the day.

Juan Carlos was our guide for the day and he was amazing. Very knowledgeable and truly cared about giving us the best experience. He brought a scope so we could see all the wild life in the trees and was always keen to take pictures for us. I would definitely recommend this tour if you want a full day of walking, wildlife and to learn about La fortuna.

Wonderful full day of activities, make sure to bring your hiking shoes ! Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and nice .
