Full description

After being collected from your hotel, you will make your way to the rafting site. Once there you will undergo a brief orientation session, before taking to the river to experience class III and IV white water rafting on the beautiful Balsa River. You will navigate 10 kilometers of white water rapids, stopping along the way to rest a bit. You can also indulge in a little swimming, and enjoy some fresh Costa Rica fruit. Following your white water rafting, you will receive a clean towel and cold complimentary water. You will then be taken to a local restaurant to have a Costa Rica style lunch and coffee, before eventually being returned back to your accommodation.

Overall, this was an EXCELLENT activity and experience. Arenal Rafting's staff were super friendly, helpful, and fun. We also made a surprisingly pleasant stop on our way to the river because we saw a sloth on a tree. We then got to the river, we geared up, and started the activity. Everything was seamless and professionally done. Two people in my tour specifically made my experience perfect: BRAULIO and KEVIN. BRAULIO was a super awesome guide on our raft. He was very friendly, helpful, playful, and fun :) He guided our raft very well, explained a few things and pointed out wildlife on the trees along the river (iguanas, birds, and sloths). He checked and ensured all of us felt safe on the raft periodically. I can't thank him enough for the great experience we had. KEVIN was our guide in the bus to the river. Similarly, he was very friendly, helpful, and fun. He showed us the basics of rafting and explained a few things that we saw on our way to the river. Pura Vida! :)
