What a magical place to kayak, the views were spectacular, the ocean easy to navigate, seas were calm, even entering and exiting the cave was much easier then we had expected, reading other reviews, the sun was out, it was really great to have no time limits, we were on the water for a few hours, there were nice beach spots to stop at and take a dip, you’re never really alone though as you can expect in summer, the place was packed, the boats, some of them quite large were a bit of a menace but as long as you stay clear you’ll be fine, definitely recommended it! Our only qualm is that the guys that gave us the kayak didn’t really tell us much, have us the oars and sent us to the beach to pick up the kayak, with so many other operators there, a little more structure would go far! Life jackets were old and gave us both a rash, probably not the right fit, so for most the day we didn’t bother using them. Lovely touch to provide us with a waterproof bag though, helped a lot!

Having been experienced in ocean kayaking We were thrilled to be quickly given our gear And get out on the water. A caution for anyone Not experienced there was no instruction or guidance At all so you really need to know what you are doing As it gets crazy busy the boat swells and todea impact your paddling and safety. Know what you are doing.

We took the unguided option as 2 of the party we’re experienced kayakers. I’m so glad we did l, as it was busy when we got there and we decided to take a different route to the crowd. It made our experience much more enjoyable. We didn’t see the main cave but we saw great examples. The trip was good value for money. Give yourself plenty of time to park and walk down to the beach area to pick up your kayak it was very busy in July.
