Located between Silves, Monchique, and Lagoa, take your seat at on the estate of a family-owned property with some of the oldest vineyards in the Algarve. Join in a tasting experience that explores the history of the estate, its unique terroir, and its exciting wines while you savor a simple, hearty Algarvian farmers' table lunch.  Gather under a 2,000 year-old tree overlooking old negra mole vines, inside a vintage olive press, or inside the main house and share a simple but tasty multi-course menu paired with 3-4 wines.  After the casual lunch, delight in fascinating stories of Algarve’s landmark vineyard estate over coffee or as you stroll the property in the presence of the resident vineyard manager.

The day begins with pickup from your hotel in Albufeira and heads out into the rolling countryside of the Algarve. Soak up stunning views of the green landscapes that surround you as you make your way to two family-owned wineries. At each winery, learn about the wine making process from grape to glass and taste a selection of fine Portuguese wines. Afterwards, visit the charming town of Silves, boasting picturesque cobblestone streets and an impressive red brick castle. Spend some free time exploring on your own, learn about the rich-history of this Medieval town, and get a sense of Silves' culture as you mingle with the locals. At the end of an unforgettable day, sit back and relax on the return journey to your hotel.

Your experience begins as you are welcomed to Morgado do Quintão for a walk around the estate to observe the vineyards. This will also include a brief introduction to the local grape varieties. Following that, enjoy a tour of the grounds throughout a wine-tasting experience that explores the history of the estate, as well as the terroir-driven wines. You will also learn of the estate's plans for the future as they continue to create Algarve’s landmark wines. Your guides will also tell you all about Algarve’s local grape varieties as you enjoy a tasting 3-4 of their wines. As you sample the wines you can learn about how they're made, as well as how to best pair them with food.

To get a real taste of the award winning wines produced at our estate, it is advisable to take a tour behind the scenes! Take a peek at our winery, where an experienced team member will disclose most of the secrets of the wine production, followed by a tour of the barrel cellar, where our red wines age and improve over a period of up to 12 months. However, Quinta dos Vales has much more to offer than just its wine, so you might decide to take a stroll through our picturesque gardens full of sculptures, where Art and Wine exists in a perfect symbiosis. You may taste your wine on the panoramic terrace, overlooking our sun-kissed vineyards, or stroll with your glass of wine through our sculpture gardens. The choice is yours!

After pickup from your accommodation, board a classic Volkswagen T2 for a 4 to 5-hour flavor tour and get ready to see and taste the Algarve in a unique way.
