Full description
Take a 4-hour trek in Volcano National Park and discover the reasons for the dramatic visual landscapes of Lanzarote, the types of eruptions and volcanoes, and the lava flows. During the 18th century one of the most important volcanic eruptions in the history of mankind took place on the island. Between 1730 and 1736 the island suffered eruptions that devastated a large part of its southern area. These eruptions, coupled with the evolutionary process of the land, have left one of the most spectacular volcanic landscapes on the planet and a unique outdoor geological museum. On this fascinating journey through the savage terrain of Lanzarote, you’ll have the opportunity to observe the rebirth of life in this extreme ecosystem as well.

I climbed a volcano, pretty damn sick. Our tour guide was very lovely and knowledgeable, the volcanic landscape is definitely worth exploring! The price is great. It gets VERY windy at the top so make sure to bring a jacket and hold your hats! Also if you were curious like as to what a "Snack bag" is then: a bottle of water, banana, biscuit and a little pack of nuts! Energy packed snacks to keep you through the hike!

José, our guide, was just one of the best guides I ever had. This tour will make you walk through breathtaking landscapes and the guide will enrich you with his knowledge, I learned so many things about volcanoes and the origins of Lanzarote and the Canary Islands! Trust me, this tour is a must. If I could give it a 100 stars instead of just 5, I would! Thanks again for the great tour Josè!

From the first moment of contact we were reassured this would be good. We were blown away by Jose s knowledge and respect which he displayed for the volcanos and the island. This is a must do for anybody visiting Lanzarote. Topped by Jose’s calm patience and welcome. My daughter (15) was with me and totally enjoyed the hike also referring to it as “really cool” which is no easy accomplishment.!! Well done and many thanks. “We ll be back”, Go raibh maith agat!
