What people are saying about Large Theatre, Pompeii

Excellent tour

For our first time in Pompeii we decided to take this tour, with Pompeii and Mt. Vesuvius combined and we are happy we did, it was a long day but worth it! Pompeii is much bigger than you think. It offers a glimpse into a long-gone civilization with its cult of the body, obsession with material comforts and our guide Chiara was very clever in showing us around the best areas of Pompeii and telling us all about the life of the Romans, she was great! We then went to Mt. Vesuvius, the steep walk up took us about 30 minutes, comfortable shoes are essential. You get a stunning view of Naples and the bay and a walk along the rim of the crater, from here on a clear you can see Pompeii below. The steaming rocks, steep lava screes, and swirling mists can create an intimidating atmosphere. It was wonderful! I'd do it again any day!

Wonderful discovery

The vehicle was very comfortable and the driver diligent on the winding roads to Ravello. The trip was very pleasant. Alfredo, a guide and archaeologist by training, introduced us to the different sites in a very interesting way. A big bravo for the visit and the presentation of Pompeii which won over all the participants! We will also note a great flexibility of the guide and the driver concerning the route, the stops and the times. We recommend!

Our driver, Francesco, and the archeologist, Diego, who was our guide, were both fantastic: very polite and always on time, with an excellent sense of humour. I'll never forget our visit and the vivid as well as entertaining, at the same time scholarly descriptions of ancient culture. Thank you, Francesco and Diego!

We booked a pick up and tour of Pompeii on the day we landed for a long weekend. We were a family of six and as we only had a short time we wanted to see as much as we could before our return home.

Super recommended !!!

Excellent both the driver, Marco and our guide in Pompeii, Genaro. Friendly and very considerate.
