I had a great time during this tour, with Larissa, a fantastic licensed expert guide. The ticket included skip-the-line entry, meaning we were able to bypass the 30 minutes-long queue! Although private guided tours are not the cheapest way to visit the Abbey, I thought that being able to benefit from the experiences of a knowledgeable tour guide, with the opportunity to ask questions and hear amazing anecdotes covering 1,000 years of British history, was worth the cost. In fact, Larissa was so engaging that other visitors stopped next to us to hear her stories! I was taken on a journey from the Abbey's foundings in the 11th century, exploring every corner, learning incredible historical facts and spotting hidden gems, including Britain's oldest door! I learnt that the church has over a 1,000 year history of coronations, 17 royal weddings and is is the resting place of more than 3,000 renowned Britons. Whether you’re a Londoner or a tourist, I highly recommend this tour!

A must see in London. If you’re passionate about British history, it’s definitely one of the most interesting places in London. So much history in one place that it can be overwhelming! What we liked the most without a doubt was our guide, Cosetta. She was super kind, full of knowledge and had a lot of patience with us. The two hours flew by! Cosetta spoke with such passion about British history that I ended up watching a movie about Queen Victoria that night! I wanted to highlight the customer service of getyourguide. We booked the tour for the 1st of October, but for reasons unknown to us, the guide did not show up at the meeting point. Jay, the one who assisted me, was super friendly and solved everything on the spot. Communication was super easy thanks to the app. Also bear in mind that there are a lot of people visiting Westminster Abbey since the Queen's death and it's possible that Westminster Abbey will be closed for a few months to prepare for the Coronation.

Westminster Abbey is an essential part of any London itinerary and this 20-hour private guided tour gives you the lowdown on this magnificent building, as well as interesting nuggets of English history. Communication from the company was timely and clear. Fiona, the guide, was professional and had an impressive depth of knowledge covering 1,000 years of British history. A valuable inclusion is a skip-the-line ticket, allowing you to avoid the epic queues for standard ticket holders. At the end of the guided tour, there was a valuable opportunity to linger in the abbey and take photographs. Private guided tours aren't the cheapest way to visit Westminster Abbey, and this tour may be beyond the budget of a solo traveller. That said, it's hard to put a price on the value of having a live guide to yourself and this will be a more cost-effective option for a family groiup.

My son and I took a private tour of Westminster abbey on Saturday. I loved learning more about the abbey and the part it and the people who are buried there have played in our history. We were able to see the coronation chair which will be in use again soon. It is amazing to think that all monarchs since William the Conqueror have been crowned in the abbey. I was suprised to learn that the abbey has the oldest door in Britain dating back to its Anglo Saxon foundation in about 960 B.C. Our guide Fabrizio was excellent and was able to answer our many questions. I would recommend the tour to anyone who wants to find out more about British history in the place where some of the events that shaped our country took place and I am sure like us you will be left wanting to discover even more. We also enjoyed an excellent lunch in the cafe.

A truly remarkable experience. Ludmila, our guide, went through every corner of the abbey, telling historical facts, explaining architectural choices and even spotting some hidden gems. It was a truly great moment. I have been living in London for the past 4 years and I have always wanted to visit this historical place. I think I chose the best way to do so.
