1. Chapada Diamantina Lençóis: Pratinha & Pai Inácio Hill Tour
Take a short walk of about 10-minutes downstream to the Devil’s Pool, where taking a swim is irresistible. Back in the car: it's time to go to Pai Inácio Hill which is 1,200 meters above sea level (3,900 feet). After a 20-minute hike up, take in the splendid view and see the traditional postcard image, the most famous of the Parque da Chapada Diamantina. Continue to the Pratinha Grotto which has crystal-clear lake with tiny seashells at the entrance of the cave, creating an incredibly surprising oasis of beauty. In the same area, there is another grotto called the Blue Grotto. When the sun rays enter the grotto at 2:00 PM the light in the crystal water turns into an unforgettable blue, giving the grotto its unique name. After a short drive, you will reach another grotto, the Lapa Doce Grotto, a huge limestone cave with curious stalactites and stalagmites. You will have the chance to walk through the cave (800 meters or a half mile) before returning to Lençóis.
