Lille Driving Tour by Convertible Citroen 2CV

1. Lille Driving Tour by Convertible Citroen 2CV

Take a retro guided tour of the beautiful city of Lille on board an iconic Citroen 2CV, as idiosyncratically French as a beret or baguette. Tours can vary from 30 minutes to 1.5 hours, with room for up to 3 passengers. Riding in the famous car, feel the vroom-vroom of its tiny engine (2CV literally means "2 tax horsepower"). Lean over at every bend in the road and enjoy the vintage upholstery. If the weather’s right, you’ll tackle the cobbled streets with the roof rolled back and the wind in your hair. Your driver-guide will tell anecdotes about the city at every nook and cranny en route, and they'll advise you on the best places to go when you’ve regained your street legs. Lille is an ideal city to tour in a 2CV; the streets are narrow, and though the cobbles might shake and rattle your bones a bit, you'll feel every part a native.

We had a fantastic Segway tour with Franc. We are experienced riders and he immediately recognised this and adjusted our tour accordingly, allowing us to travel more quickly to see more sights and travel over more challenging terrain. But he also ensured that he pointed out any potential hazards clearly as any experienced Segway tour guide should do. We are learning French and along the way Franc gave us lots of great tips on how to learn the language more easily which was really helpful. His knowledge of Lille was excellent and he told us lots of interesting facts along the way. He also made an effort to engage us in conversation beyond the scope of the tour. We have been on many segway tours in different cities and countries and this is one of our best ever. Thank you Franc for an amazing time.

Our afternoon spent participating in the Scavenger Hunt was a resounding success for all three of us. The youngest, aged 12, led the expedition with complete confidence and enthusiasm, whilst his mother and grandmother followed delighting in the sights and history revealed in the commentary. It proved a most enjoyable, entertaining and informative introduction to Lille, which has so many wondèrful treasures and is at the same time such a friendly, vibrant city. It was without a doubt the highlight of what proved to be a fabulous break and the perfect introduction to La Vie Francaise for my grandson.

We traveled with our 2 kids (aged 12 and 7). As you can imagine sometimes it’s hard to keep them interested in something that it’s not their phones… But seems like this worked out great! They were still using their phones, but instead they were exploring the city and interacting with us. It was lovely.

Top, gostei muito. Tranquilo, andei ao meu ritmo, parava quando queria, as perguntas eram engraçadas e leves. Recomendo, deve ser bom para famílias também.

Really easy to use on all forms of transport and in museums.
