Full description
Departing from Lima, this tour starts the adventure with an early morning hotel pick-up. The expert driver and local guide provides some background on the history and culture of the area as the tour drives to the first stop of Paracas. There a boat is waiting in the bay. The tour then takes you to the sea to explore the Pacific Ocean and see the local wildlife, including penguins and dolphins.  After breakfast in the port of Paracas, the tour will continue to the wine region of Ica. Upon arrival, guests will see the unforgettable sight of Huacachina, the oasis in the desert with a permanent population of only 100 people. Here you can enjoy the thrill and adrenaline rush of sandboarding and driving buggies on the dunes, as well as touring the stunning natural landscapes. Ica is world-famous for the drink Pisco, and the tour provides a full local lunch with Pisco and wine to accompany the meal. Once lunch is finished, the tour will then depart for the return trip to Lima.

It was a very nice experience. I traveled with Jose a very professional and prudent driver. Jordan the guide with extensive knowledge and an unequaled enthusiasm for providing information on places to visit as well as Peru in general. of pre-Inca and Inca cultures. Sheila also accompanied us from the tourism company that complemented what Jordan contributed. They were also very kind and friendly, I felt that I was actually traveling with friends I had known for a long time. It was a wonderful day for me !!!

Had a nice full day

The travel guide was very friendly. We went there with a large, comfortable car. Sandboarding done 2x and there was opportunity to take some pictures at the oasis. Food was fine especially in the last restaurant we have been to. Jen could choose from a few food options. I am vegetarian with no menu, they did have a solution for that. At the ballestas islands many animals were seen including sea lions and penguins. They picked me up at my sleeping address. I had to pay a little extra for this because it did not fall under the tourist area. I did the tour with a couple from California.

Our tour guide Jordan was a great leader who was very informative about the country. He was easy to talk to and his English was excellent. The car ride was very comfortable. It was worth the extra money to have our own private guide and not worry about extra entry fees and food expenses. The breakfast could have included a little more such as a fried egg or fresh fruit.
