The small group provides a more personal touch and local feel, and the trip will finish close to the Strand and Covent Garden, where you will be a short walk from the theaters, shops, and restaurants of London’s West End. Secret Gardens of London Full-Day Tour

3. Secret Gardens of London Full-Day Tour

Designed for garden lovers and lovers of flowers, this full-day tour of some of London's best-kept garden secrets goes beyond the usual tourist haunts of the capital. Starting at Trafalgar Square at the entrance to St. Martin-in-the-Fields Church, peek into the grounds of the nearby St. Paul's Artist Church, designed by Inigo Jones. Behind the church, opposite the Covent Garden entrance, is a lovely rose garden. Next head towards the delightful Lincoln's Inn Fields, London's largest city square, built in the 17th century. Adjacent is the John Soane Museum, home to many beautiful antiques, including some charming garden statuary. Walk through the square's bamboo garden to Temple Gardens, hidden amongst the Inns of Court. Drive to the Embankment, crossing the River Thames to the London Garden Museum. Excellent displays and a lovely knot garden from the 1600s await, as does a relaxing café, where you can refresh yourself with a cup of tea or coffee. The next garden on your tour is the famous Chelsea Physic Garden, established in 1673 and known for its apothecary plants and trees. One of their own gardener guides will walk you through the garden oasis, just a stone's throw from Sloane Square. Finally, go to Chelsea Physic Garden for a traditional English High Tea in an atmosphere of authentic British charm, and a visit of the surrounding gardens, including the beautiful sunken garden in the Palace grounds.

Our guide Dave was brilliant, very knowledgeable and charismatic and very happy to answer any additional questions that came up along the way. Thanks to Dave for making our guided tour such great fun.

Great walking history tour of London pubs with friends. I was visiting friends that recently moved to London and we decided this would be the perfect Sunday afternoon activity. We learned some history, enjoyed some pints, and socialized with the tour guide and other fellow tourists. It was a lovely afternoon!

What an outstanding tour this was. Mark was so much fun. Entertaining and knowledgeable information around each turn. 4.5 hours went by in a flash.

Our guide, Chris, was very knowledgeable and a lot of fun. We hit bars that most tourists might not find and had some good beer.

Great tour guide as he was very knowledgeable and approachable. The pubs were great as well! Loved the monk Yoda!
