From Rhodes City: Boat Day Trip to Lindos

2. From Rhodes City: Boat Day Trip to Lindos

On this tour, you will visit the stunningly beautiful village of Lindos by boat. On the way back, the boat will make stops at Anthony Quinn's Bay for photos and both Tsambika's and Lindos's emerald bays so you can relax and go for a swim. Lindos is a magnificent acropolis on an imposing rock. On the top of the rock stands a centuries-old acropolis, proudly overlooking the archipelagos. The acropolis bears silent witness to Lindos’ glorious past, a major naval power of ancient times that reputedly had a population of 17,000.  The view of Lindos village, with its cubic houses sprawling down the hillside under the acropolis, is one of the most photographed scenes in Greece. The whitewashed labyrinth of little alleyways was deliberately designed to confuse pirates, today this layout makes wandering around the town a real adventure. According to tradition, the temple of Athena was founded by Danaus, who came to the island with his 50 daughters to escape the rage of the goddess Hera. Follow the same ancient path that the ancient Rhodians took. When you reach the acropolis you will see a 280 BC relief of an ancient Greek warship carved into the rock, an indication of the naval power of ancient Rhodes.

Beautiful afternoon sitting on the deck seeing the fantastic views of the acropolis as well as the bays and the beautiful sea. A lovely swim off the boat half way through and a drink included in the price. Staff were really friendly and helpful. Good fun watching the fish through the glass bottom. Would highly recommend this trip.

"From Rhodes town: Speedboat trip to Lindos" Booking was uncomplicated, finding the landing stage was also quite easy, the trip was good as expected, it's just not a sightseeing tour, we were able to enjoy the promised stay in Lindos! Excellent!

Overall, the trip was ok. Very good communication with the organizer about rebooking, as the trip we selected was postponed due to a lack of participants. The mood on board was very good. The only drawback, the very few fish had to be fed to be visible.

Really good for all ages. Great to see all the fish underwater and it was a wonderful swim in the bay.

Nice view, fast boat, sufficient time to walk around.
